As all of you know I have an upcoming maternity leave as my family welcomes our little boy into the world. My last day in the classroom is planned for Friday, April 26th. As you know, Mrs. Mandl will be taking over for the remainder of the school year and Mrs. Goldstein will be there to ensure a smooth transition. Additionally, Mrs. Mandl will be shadowing me and getting to know your child for three days during week of Monday, April 23rd. When I am on my maternity leave you can get in touch with Mrs. Mandl at: [email protected].
Additionally, I wanted to share with families that it has been approved by the district that following my maternity leave I will continue an extended leave of absence for the entire 2019-2020 school year. This decision was not an easy one since I love my position, the Indian Trail community, and every joy that comes with being a teacher. While it was a difficult decision to make I am excited to be able to spend a lot more time with my family and our new addition next year. I also feel so fortunate that I will be able to return to district 112 after my extended leave of absence and look forward to reconnecting with my past students and their families.
I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of your child's life during their 1st grade year. It has been such a joy watching my students develop into the learners they are today! This was an amazing class with a lot of energy and excitement about learning. I wish your child good luck in their second grade year and look forward to hearing about all of the amazing things they are doing when I return to the district!
